I’m Dr Charlotte Williams – writer, speaker, and practitioner. Through books, talks, and consulting, I help families, practitioners, and leaders create routines and practices that hold up in real life.
I work at the intersection of therapeutic education, animal-assisted interventions, and professional training. My focus is on approaches that are safe, ethical, and that hold up in real settings.
This means creating structures where children and animals are protected, staff feel confident in their roles, and interventions have clear outcomes. I believe in combining theory with practice—taking ideas off the page and shaping them into methods that can be used in classrooms, therapy sessions, and everyday care.

I am the Co-founder and CEO of the Elysian Group, a UK organisation delivering therapeutic education, animal-assisted interventions, community projects, and professional training. My career began in hands-on practice—working directly with children, families, and animals—and that experience continues to guide my approach today.
I believe meaningful change comes from care that is practical, compassionate, and ethically sound. Alongside leading Elysian’s services, I write and speak about grounded practice in Animal-Assisted Interventions (AAI). My first “how-to” book on AAI is underway, with future projects exploring dogs in therapy and a children’s series.
